POM-DK

POM-DK (Polyoxymethylene-DK)

POM-DK is a reinforced POM polymer designed for applications where high wear resistance is needed and/or high conveyor speeds are required. The material is typically used for wear parts on sideflexing belts or in applications where very high wear resistance is required.

  • POM-DK is not FDA approved.

POM

POM is a thermoplastic material with very good mechanical and thermal properties. The material can also be characterized by great strength, stiffness and dimensional stability. POM is resistant to a wide selection of chemicals. POM has good bearing qualities, low coefficient of friction and good resistance to wear.

Chemical effects

Excellent: No attack, possibly slight absorption. No effect on mechanical properties.

Good: Slight attack by absorption. Some swelling and small reduction in mechanical properties likely.

Fair: Moderate attack of appreciable absorption. Material will have limited life.

Unsatisfactory: Material will decompose or dissolve in a short time.
